So, as many know, our wedding has been a series of ups and downs. Since April, however, our luck has been on a distinct upward trend. Last weekend was no exception, as we booked the hotel for our honeymoon in Colonial Williamsburg.
We’ll be staying at the Fife and Drum Inn, the only place that’s actually in the historic district of Williamsburg. What’s fabulous is that we got to pick the room we’ll be staying in. It’s a small bed and breakfast, and each room is individually themed and designed.
Patrick and I will be staying in the Conservancy Room.
In addition to our bathroom, if you step up out of the bedroom area, there’s a romantic little tub set up.
The owners cook a big breakfast for the guests every morning. How cute is that?
We sat on the couch as I booked our reservation, and started searching for things we wanted to do. We definitely wanted to tour the Anheuser-Busch factory (beer), and perhaps go to Busch Gardens, if it’s open. There are also so many romantic colonial taverns, and other things to do. Cannot. Wait.
So even if the wedding is a complete disaster, we now know for sure that, no matter what, we’ll be in Williamsburg for a romantic week of fun and relaxation.
Virginia is for lovers, right?
